Kid Cudi is revealing the details of his near-fatal overdose. In his upcoming memoir, Cudi,  described the fateful night when he was alone at his New York apartment in Tribeca, where he indulged in copious amounts of cocaine and that he “cryedg for hours.” “I was at peace with dying,” Cudi writes, according to  GQ, before he collapsed to the floor, almost comatose. “‘You made great music that people loved,’ I thought. ‘But this is the end.’” He also shared that he was doing cocaine lines as wide as his pinky finger “I couldn’t make sense of what was plaguing me. It was all happening so fast. The first Man on the Moon had been out for about a year and I was on a rocket ship,” Cudi continued. “Grappling with fame pushed me toward cocaine, which I only ever did alone. I was drawn to it in isolation, and my time by myself was increasing.” “I was feeling shut-in and I could barely even leave my house. The coke felt like a necessary countermeasure for my celebrity, but it was wreaking havoc on my life, creatively and personally. I had become super volatile emotionally,” he added. “My relationships were in shambles, and I couldn’t get songs out like I wanted. The anger was boiling in me. I was plotting it. There’s a song at the end of Speedin’ Bullet where I say good-bye, and that was meant to be my final album. I was going to kill myself at the end of that album, or before it came out, or during that cycle. I was not planning to live that year. The Apple TV+ series will premiere on Friday, August 29, and consist of eight episodes. According to Kpopped‘s synopsis, “A group of western artists reimagine their hit songs in collaboration with K-pop idols. They compete in battle performances judged by an audience in Seoul.”  Patti LaBelle is just one of the industry heavyweights expected to take the stage at KPopped. However, for Megan Thee Stallion, meeting with Patti seemed to be all that mattered. The two were spotted embracing one another, sharing a sweet conversation. At one point, the pair can be overheard discussing recipes, to which Megan reveals she’s a huge fan of LaBelle’s cookbooks. “Teach me,” the rapper says as she and Patti hold hands, to which she responds, “Yes.” Megan was presently surprised and overjoyed at the singer’s reaction. The allegations inject fresh tension into an already high-profile case that has remained in the public spotlight. In a filing submitted in Florida federal court, Megan’s legal team is asking the judge to sanction Lanez—born Daystar Peterson—who is currently behind bars. They argue he violated a court order that required him to explain why he should not be held in contempt. Their motion stems from a deposition earlier this month, which they described as “disruptive and inflammatory.” According to Megan’s lawyers, Lanez used the deposition to mock the opposing counsel’s physical appearance and hair color—behavior they say amounted to harassment rather than a legitimate legal exchange. “This was not about answering questions,” they wrote, “but undermining the process with targeted disrespect.”

Not long ago, the rapper shared a video on TikTok and Instagram of her and NBA star Klay Thompson having a golfing date. In the nearly 10-minute video, Megan documents her trip to Arkansas. She reveals that, along with handling some business, she made sure to sneak in some one-on-one time with her new beau. Along with giving the Houston native some tips to up her golf game, Klay Thompson shared that her “love” had helped his skills improve. Stevie Wonder is one of the greatest musicians of all time and at 75 years old, he has no plans to retire anytime soon. During a new interview with BBC’s Sidetracked podcast on Monday, July 21, the Motown legend revealed that he will keep performing as long as he can. “For as long as you breathe, for as long as your heart beats, there’s more for you to do,” Wonder told host Annie Mac. “I’m not gonna stop the gift that keeps pouring through my body.” He went on to explain that “an artist doesn’t stop drawing just because.” Instead, “you keep on. So as long as you can imagine, as long as you are going to be creative, and as long as you let your mind work, you don’t have to retire.”  The 25-time Grammy Award winner said he still gets excited about music just like he did when he released his first album at 12. “I love playing music, that’s like my mantra. I think I can do all the stuff I want to do – still have fun and do what I need to do – but I’m not going to stop the gift that keeps pouring through my body,” he said. “I love doing what I’m doing,” Wonder added. The WNBA announced that GloRilla will headline the halftime performance at the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, July 19. Both BIA’s pre-game and GloRilla’s halftime performance will be featured on ABC’s broadcast. Damon Dash is facing mounting legal pressure in Manhattan federal court after failing to comply with a court order related to a $4 million default judgment. AllHipHop reports that court documents filed on July 14 confirm that Dash has not submitted key ownership documents required to initiate the sale of his assets through a public auction. The U.S. Marshal’s Office cannot proceed without them. Should he fail to appear, the court may issue a warrant for his arrest and impose additional financial penalties. Dash can avoid those outcomes by filing the missing paperwork by July 30. The dispute stems from a long-standing legal fight over the 2019 film Dear Frank. Dash was removed from the production but later asserted ownership, leading filmmaker Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures to sue for copyright infringement and defamation. A 2022 judgment ordered Dash to pay $805,000 after he missed court deadlines and refused to mediate. Tensions escalated further in 2025 after Dash made defamatory comments about Webber during an appearance on the Earn Your Leisure podcast. The remarks resulted in a $4 million default judgment against him. To recover damages, the court approved the sale of Dash’s business holdings, including stakes in Dash Films Inc., Bluroc LLC, Blakroc LLC, Lebanon Improvements LLC, Ocean East Improvements LLC, and 1996 Songs LLC. Poppington LLC was also directed to hand over copyright certificates tied to multiple film projects. Webber’s attorneys say those documents remain outstanding. In a recent court filing, Webber’s legal team asked the court to issue an arrest warrant and transfer control of Dash’s disputed assets to the U.S. Marshal. Dash previously sold his one-third interest in Roc-A-Fella Records in December 2024 for a little over $1 million, but the funds were absorbed by outstanding debts to New York State and did not offset the full judgment. With no resolution in sight, the court is now moving to liquidate the remaining assets. The U.S. Marshal will oversee the auction, and any excess proceeds will be returned to Dash once the judgment is settled in full.
