Drake is once again in rollout mode—or at least that’s what fans are betting on. A recent Instagram post, packed with fan edits, TikTok jokes, and a cameo from soccer phenom Erling Haaland, has ignited buzz around his upcoming project Iceman and the tour he’s calling “$ome $pecial $hows 4 U,” with longtime collaborator PARTYNEXTDOOR. Alongside the images, Drake captioned the post, “Tired…too many bangers,” a nod, perhaps, to the project’s creative pace. Whether it’s a cryptic update or a playful brush-off, the sentiment has only sharpened curiosity. Tracks like “What Did I Miss?” and “Which One,” featuring Central Cee, suggest a stylistic range that could stretch from tightly wound bars to festival-stage anthems. With no official date yet, the rollout appears to be unfolding in real time, one post at a time. The bigger question is whether Iceman is days away or still getting polished in the studio. Either way, the breadcrumbs are multiplying. What once felt like distant hype now reads more like a calculated warm-up act. Legal drama brews, but Drake stays locked in Offstage, though, Drake is juggling more than music. His name has surfaced in a defamation lawsuit tied to “Not Like Us,” the viral diss record from Kendrick Lamar. The case targets Universal Music Group but intersects with Drake’s feud, dragging the narrative into legal territory. He was recently cleared to subpoena Kojo Menne Asamoah, a figure alleged to hold relevant details surrounding the case and UMG’s role in the matter. It’s the kind of legal entanglement that could rattle a less seasoned artist. But for Drake, who’s long operated at the center of pop culture crossfire, the balance of public spectacle and private litigation is familiar terrain. And if the rollout of Iceman is any indication, he’s not backing off—he’s doubling down. As fans wait, refresh, and speculate, the Toronto native remains locked in: teasing bangers, navigating lawsuits, and fine-tuning the next chapter of his catalog. Kid Cudi Details Near-Fatal Overdose And Suicidal Ideation In New Memoir
Kid Cudi is revealing the details of his near-fatal overdose. In his upcoming memoir, Cudi, described the fateful night when he was alone at his New York apartment in Tribeca, where he indulged in copious amounts of cocaine and that he “cryedg for hours.” “I was at peace with dying,” Cudi writes, according to GQ, before he collapsed to the floor, almost comatose. “‘You made great music that people loved,’ I thought. ‘But this is the end.’” He also shared that he was doing cocaine lines as wide as his pinky finger “I couldn’t make sense of what was plaguing me. It was all happening so fast. The first Man on the Moon had been out for about a year and I was on a rocket ship,” Cudi continued. “Grappling with fame pushed me toward cocaine, which I only ever did alone. I was drawn to it in isolation, and my time by myself was increasing.” “I was feeling shut-in and I could barely even leave my house. The coke felt like a necessary countermeasure for my celebrity, but it was wreaking havoc on my life, creatively and personally. I had become super volatile emotionally,” he added. “My relationships were in shambles, and I couldn’t get songs out like I wanted. The anger was boiling in me. My rage came from my reality not aligning with my dream.” “My rage came from my reality not aligning with my dream,” he confessed. “I thought being set financially was going to save me and make everything all right. I thought being Kid Cudi would transform my life in all the best ways. It didn’t.” Cudi also acknowledged that his suicidal ideation returned during recording sessions for Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven. “After we’d finished a session, I’d be alone Googling exit bags,” he wrote. “I was thinking about a way I could actually do it. I was plotting it. There’s a song at the end of Speedin’ Bullet where I say good-bye, and that was meant to be my final album. I was going to kill myself at the end of that album, or before it came out, or during that cycle. I was not planning to live that year. Not many people around me expected me to either.” Cudi: The Memoir hits stores on Aug. 12.

Megan Thee Stallion turned into the ultimate fan-girl after running into the legendary Patti LaBelle during the filming of KPopped. The allegations inject fresh tension into an already high-profile case that has remained in the public spotlight. In a filing submitted in Florida federal court, Megan’s legal team is asking the judge to sanction Lanez—born Daystar Peterson—who is currently behind bars. They argue he violated a court order that required him to explain why he should not be held in contempt. Their motion stems from a deposition earlier this month, which they described as “disruptive and inflammatory.” According to Megan’s lawyers, Lanez used the deposition to mock the opposing counsel’s physical appearance and hair color—behavior they say amounted to harassment rather than a legitimate legal exchange. “This was not about answering questions,” they wrote, “but undermining the process with targeted disrespect.”

Stevie Wonder Says He Will Never Retire
Stevie Wonder is one of the greatest musicians of all time and at 75 years old, he has no plans to retire anytime soon. During a new interview with BBC’s Sidetracked podcast on Monday, July 21, the Motown legend revealed that he will keep performing as long as he can. “For as long as you breathe, for as long as your heart beats, there’s more for you to do,” Wonder told host Annie Mac. “I’m not gonna stop the gift that keeps pouring through my body.” He went on to explain that “an artist doesn’t stop drawing just because.” Instead, “you keep on. So as long as you can imagine, as long as you are going to be creative, and as long as you let your mind work, you don’t have to retire.” The 25-time Grammy Award winner said he still gets excited about music just like he did when he released his first album at 12. “I love playing music, that’s like my mantra. I think I can do all the stuff I want to do – still have fun and do what I need to do – but I’m not going to stop the gift that keeps pouring through my body,” he said. “I love doing what I’m doing,” Wonder added. While some artists may have an issue playing their hits, Wonder loves to play the hits from his enormous catalog. “Songs are like children, they’re with you forever,” he said. ‘They are statements from the spirit within you, and singing those songs is like me taking another breath.” Recently, Wonder answered all the conspiracy theories about him not being blind. “I must say to all of you, something that I was thinking, ‘When did I want to let the world know this?’ But I wanted to say it right now,” Wonder said at tour stop in Wales. “You know there have been rumors about me seeing and all that? But seriously, you know the truth.” “Truth is, shortly after my birth, I became blind,” Wonder continued. “Now, that was a blessing because it’s allowed me to see the world in the vision of truth, of sight. See people in the spirit of them, not how they look. Not what color they are, but what color is their spirit?” Currently, Wonder is performing on the “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart Tour,” with shows in Pittsburgh, New York City, and Atlanta.

Ashanti Puts Nelly In The Hot Seat Over Verzuz Mystery Date
Ashanti has no problem keeping Nelly on his toes—and she proved it during their recent appearance on Hot Ones: Versus. The R&B star, now back in the spotlight with her longtime love and a new reality show, wasn’t afraid to bring up a moment from their past that fans have long speculated about. Ashanti playfully asks Nelly about the other woman he brought to Verzuz on the night he made a move to win her back! pic.twitter.com/hdO076uugO — FAVULATE (@favulate) July 16, 2025 “I have a question… I may regret this,” she began, eyeing Nelly with a smirk. “You mentioned you brought someone with you to Verzuz… who was that?” The question referred to the night in 2021 when the couple reconnected after nearly a decade apart. While the moment was romantic for many fans, Ashanti clearly hadn’t forgotten the other mystery guest from that evening. Nelly, clearly caught off guard, laughed and tried to dodge the topic. “You know what, I don’t even remember that lady. She was a nobody,” he joked. Instead of pressing further, Ashanti let him squirm—and Nelly eventually chose to take a bite of a blazing hot wing to avoid saying more. To this day, the identity of the woman from that Verzuz night remains unknown. Outside of spicy questions, the couple has been opening up about their relationship in more heartfelt ways. In a recent interview with Cocoa Butter, Nelly reflected on Ashanti’s music and revealed which of her songs means the most to him. “‘Rain on Me’ was at a different time in our relationship,” he said. “We gon’ slide that along and stick with ‘Baby.’ […] Some of those records include my brother Ja [Rule]. But ‘Baby’ is all my wife. I’m riding with that one.” With a reality show, new music like “This Lil’ Game We Play,” and their undeniable chemistry, Ashanti and Nelly continue to serve love, laughs, and a little heat.
Damon Dash Ordered To Manhattan Federal Court
Damon Dash is facing mounting legal pressure in Manhattan federal court after failing to comply with a court order related to a $4 million default judgment. AllHipHop reports that court documents filed on July 14 confirm that Dash has not submitted key ownership documents required to initiate the sale of his assets through a public auction. The U.S. Marshal’s Office cannot proceed without them. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dame Dash (@duskopoppington) U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Lehrburger criticized Dash’s lack of cooperation, describing it as part of a “pattern of non-compliance and delay.” He has ordered Dash to appear in court on July 31 at 10 a.m. to explain his inaction. Should he fail to appear, the court may issue a warrant for his arrest and impose additional financial penalties. Dash can avoid those outcomes by filing the missing paperwork by July 30. The dispute stems from a long-standing legal fight over the 2019 film Dear Frank. Dash was removed from the production but later asserted ownership, leading filmmaker Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures to sue for copyright infringement and defamation. A 2022 judgment ordered Dash to pay $805,000 after he missed court deadlines and refused to mediate. Tensions escalated further in 2025 after Dash made defamatory comments about Webber during an appearance on the Earn Your Leisure podcast. The remarks resulted in a $4 million default judgment against him. To recover damages, the court approved the sale of Dash’s business holdings, including stakes in Dash Films Inc., Bluroc LLC, Blakroc LLC, Lebanon Improvements LLC, Ocean East Improvements LLC, and 1996 Songs LLC. Poppington LLC was also directed to hand over copyright certificates tied to multiple film projects. Webber’s attorneys say those documents remain outstanding. In a recent court filing, Webber’s legal team asked the court to issue an arrest warrant and transfer control of Dash’s disputed assets to the U.S. Marshal. Dash previously sold his one-third interest in Roc-A-Fella Records in December 2024 for a little over $1 million, but the funds were absorbed by outstanding debts to New York State and did not offset the full judgment. With no resolution in sight, the court is now moving to liquidate the remaining assets. The U.S. Marshal will oversee the auction, and any excess proceeds will be returned to Dash once the judgment is settled in full.
