Megan Thee Stallion’s business portfolio continues to expand as she embarks on her next big role: producer. According to Deadline, the Houston native is executive producing a new Korean dance competition series— Kpopped. The Apple TV+ series will premiere on Friday, Aug. 29. It will consist of eight episodes. According to Kpopped‘s synopsis, “A group of western artists reimagine their hit songs in collaboration with K-pop idols. They compete in battle performances judged by an audience in Seoul.” Industry heavyweights such as Patti Labelle, Boys II Men, and Eve are expected to guest star. Along with the rapper, Moira Ross, Lionel Richie, Miky Lee, Stallion, Greg Foster, and others are also credited as producers. Megan Thee Stallion will also serve as the series’ host, side by side with Psy. He is the voice behind the 2012 viral hit, “Gangnam Style.” The dance competition will occur in the heart of Korea, specifically in the city of Seoul. Check out the trailer below. Not long ago, the rapper shared a video on TikTok and Instagram of her and NBA star Klay Thompson having a golfing date. In the nearly 10-minute video, Megan documents her trip to Arkansas. She reveals that, along with handling some business, she made sure to sneak in some one-on-one time with her new beau. Along with giving the Houston native some tips to up her golf game, Klay Thompson shared that her “love” had helped his skills improve. He called Megan his “good luck charm.” Toward the end of the almost ten-minute video, as they board a golf cart, Thompson said, “Ever since I’ve been in love, my golf game’s reaped all the benefits.” Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson have been spotted quite a lot since making their public debut at the rapper’s annual Pete & Thomas Foundation gala. From gym sessions to even the golf course, it seems the two can’t get enough of each other.

Earlier this week, Bas came to Drake’s defense against Ebro Darden’s comments on the latest episode of Apple Music’s Rap Life Review. According to Darden, he’d been pondering attending an event in Toronto, where the “Nokia” rapper was scheduled to appear. However, he feels his critics of him in the past could cause some issues. In his opinion, a lot of artists — specifically Drake—and their fan groups “don’t even love hip-hop like that.” He added, “You’re just fans of an individual. We are having hip-hop conversations about something that has literally saved our lives, put food on people’s plates, and a culture that has been [an] inclusive culture of all different types of ideas, and music, and expression, and all of these things for f*cking 50 years.” Darden later shared a clip of the conversation on his Instagram. Not long after, Bas fired back in the comments, writing, “My two cents, Ebro. CNN reported that Donald Trump’s recent claim that Beyoncé had been paid almost $11,000,000 to endorse Kamala Harris for president was false. According to the outlet, campaign spending records did indeed reveal that a payment of $165,000 was paid to the singer’s production company, Parkwood Entertainment. However, this amount was significantly lower than what the President had claimed. The expense had been listed as a “campaign event production.” Last week, Trump took to his Truth Social platform and accused Beyoncé, along with a few others, of being paid to endorse Kamala Harris’ presidential election campaign. He revealed he’d concluded this after examining the “large amount of money” owned by the Democratic Party. According to Trump, Beyoncé’s endorsement of Harris was pointless. Quavo is turning heartbreak into action. Following a wave of gun violence in Atlanta that left 49 people shot and five dead over just four days, the Migos rapper has teamed up with The Rocket Foundation to launch an “Emergency Therapy Support Fund” to help families affected by the tragedy. Two of the victims were close to Quavo personally, Aaron Hines, known in the community as “Coach Ball,” and 18-year-old Deshawn Johnson, a former participant in one of Quavo’s Rocket Foundation youth camps. Both were fatally shot, adding a deeply personal weight to the cause. The fund will offer immediate access to therapy and emotional support for grieving families, and Quavo is calling on the public to donate and help expand mental health services throughout the community. The initiative aims to address not just the physical impact of gun violence, but also the long-term emotional toll it leaves behind. The announcement comes on the heels of Quavo’s second annual Rocket Summit, held in Atlanta during Gun Violence Prevention Month. Hosted at the College Football Hall of Fame, the summit gathered community leaders, advocates, and celebrities, including All The Smoke hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, for a powerful day of conversations and workshops around intervention and systemic reform. Quavo has been on a mission since 2022, when his nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff was shot and killed. In the time since, he’s taken his advocacy all the way to Washington, D.C., even meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris to push for stronger anti-violence measures. Appearing on Camelo Anthony’s 7 PM In Brooklyn, a Wave original, he said that his choice of socks set off a new fashion trend. “They $1,500 socks. They sold out after I did the Super Bowl. You can’t find them socks no more…we be watching the internet and we be seeing Pharrell do Fashion Week and I be thinking like everybody following the sh*t. You saw where he was going, right? If he was paying attention to the clue mix tapes and all of this,” he went on. “So me saying I want my first single to be with this guy. The suits at Columbia was like, who the f**k is Jay-Z– we trying to spend this money and you talking about you want, why don’t you put this single out with Mariah? During an appearance on Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know, Johnny Blaze shared  “I’m going through this insomnia, and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I have a membership at the gym. ‘Maybe I should just go to the gym and work some of this sh*t off. Maybe I’ll get some rest. One day turned into two. Two days turned into three, and I’m talking 4 am in the morning, brother, every day,” Meth explained. “And I had no routine. I didn’t have anything, but I had the mentality of, there are 24 hours in a day. If I can sit down and watch Game of Thrones for an hour and make sure that I’m there with, no commercials, by the way, I can go to the gym and do something for myself for an hour, whether it be lifting the barbell or whatever.” “And three days turned into five, and then this routine started happening, and I fell in love with it because it made me feel like I wasn’t a loser.  It made me feel like I had some discipline. I could pat myself on the back for accomplishing something, and I did something with my day, that day, as opposed to being on Call of Duty or playing Madden or NBA 2k. As the conversation continued, Meth shared some tips for those in his age bracket who are nervous about going to the gym. “I think I would love to promote a healthy lifestyle for anybody that came from my era, or anybody who’s in my age range, and tell them that it’s not as hard as they think it is. Former vice-president Kamala Harris is releasing a new book about his historic bid for the presidency. Titled 107 Days, the book is scheduled for release on Sept. 23 and will be published by Simon & Schuster. “Written with candor, a unique perspective, and the pace of a page-turning novel, 107 Days takes you inside the race for the presidency as no one has ever done before,” the publisher wrote in the description. Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas is facing serious legal trouble after being indicted in connection with an illegal gambling ring based in Southern California. According to federal prosecutors, Arenas and several others allegedly ran underground poker games out of his Encino mansion, turning the property into a high-end venue for high-stakes gambling between late 2021 and mid-2022. Authorities say the operation went far beyond casual games. Arenas is accused of working with others to organize and profit from the events, which reportedly featured hired staff, including servers, chefs, valets, and security. Prosecutors also claim that Arenas brought in a 51-year-old associate to help manage the setup and collect rent from the players. The alleged gambling ring was discovered during a raid in 2022, when LAPD officers and federal agents found more than two dozen players and a dozen staff members at Arenas’ home. Officials believe the group was earning money by taking a portion from each pot played during the games. “Gilbert Arenas was arrested in Southern California on Wednesday after authorities say he ran an illegal gambling business,” according to court records obtained by NBC. In total, Arenas and five other individuals are facing two charges each: conspiracy to operate an illegal gambling business and operating an illegal gambling business. Each charge carries a possible five-year prison sentence. In addition, Arenas has been hit with a separate charge for allegedly lying to federal investigators during the probe. The 43-year-old former Washington Wizards player is currently in custody and was scheduled to appear in court later on Wednesday. The case is still developing, with more information expected to emerge in the coming days as the investigation continues.
